The NCR 594 Project is a community service project focused on increasing community leadership skills and building community social capital in underserved communities. The project will provide training focusing on leadership development, community organizing, and effective communication to residents, workers, and activists striving to create social change in their communities. The training will provide mentorships to provide ongoing assistance, allowing participants to develop their individual leadership styles. The goal of these activities is to build support for a comprehensive community assessment using a community-based participatory research strategy.
